1.5 weeks ago I noticed a disturbing change on my back and today the dermatologist said it was shingles. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for several months and this morning the pregnancy test showed 2 lines. I did it quite quickly, because one week after the expected ovulation (I do ovulation tests every day). Now I am very worried because I read on the internet what they write about this disease during pregnancy. I am asking for urgent advice on this matter. Is something threatening my baby? Is it serious? Should I be worried and do some research? The dermatologist, after hearing that I might be pregnant, told me nothing about the dangers. I also heard that the baby is said to be safe for the first 2 weeks after conception.

I advise you to see an infectious disease doctor and treat your shingles.

The impact of infection on pregnancy is unpredictable. Generally, the infection affects the skin itself and has no effect on the development of the fetus.
