The 8th Vegan Run will be held on May 20 - it's the last moment to sign up! The runners will find a beautiful path on the Vistula river, distances from 2.5 to 21 km, and one of the largest fairs with vegetable cuisine in Poland - Zabiegany Targ Vegan. A special attraction of the spring event will be a series of meetings with well-known figures from the world of sport, cuisine and ecology, i.e. The Quarter of an Hour with … It promises to be a DELICIOUS RUN!

The Run Vegan Foundationinvites you to the 8th edition of the Vegan Run. May 20, 2022 On Sunday, on the grounds near the Olympic Center in Warsaw, a full-day picnic will be held, attracting runners and everyone who likes to eat tasty, interesting and he althy. The event will be hosted by actress Paulina Holtz and sports journalist Piotr Falkowski, and the music will be provided by the DOMOFONIA band.

The run will be preceded bythe action of joint cleaning of the Vistula paths "I am striving for clean Warsaw" , which will take place on May 19 from 10.00 to 13.00.

8 The Vegan Run is held under the patronage of the Viva! Foundation. and ends on May 13th WEGE Week organized by the Foundation.

First of all: WE RUN!

Runners can choose from 3 distances:5, 10andafternoon half-marathon, i.e. 21 km . A distance of 2.5 km is also planned, i.e. freeFamily Run for He alth . The routes of all runs lead along beautiful, soft paths along the banks of the Vistula River. For many participants it is an opportunity to get to know this green and wild part of Warsaw and discover how to avoid asph alt without leaving the city. An interesting fact is that in the forests along the path there are valuable for nature bird breeding areas.

On the routes of the Vegan Run you will meet, among others, actress Paulina Holtz , MPJoanna Mucha , blogger and author of the book SLOW LIFEJoanna Glogaza , journalistPiotr Falkowski ,Malka Kafka , owner of the Tel Aviv vegan restaurant chain or Przemek Ignaszewski , who runs the popular VEGENERAT blog.

The organizers warmly encourage you to start disguised as . There are prizes and commemorative prizes for the most interestingly dressed participantsstatuettes. Hares will also run in colorful costumes, i.e. the so-called pacemakers who will make sure everyone reaches the finish line in the allotted time. This is important because among the participants of the Run there are many beginners and people who do not run on a daily basis, but want to start "for the idea". The concept of the Run, i.e. the combination of sport and vegetable cuisine, is especially fulfilled at the finish line. There, a veganKasza Party awaits all runners there, i.e. a regenerative meal, prepared on the basis of certified organic farming products . Thanks to this, you will be able to organoleptically convince yourself of the taste and variety of vegan cuisine. At the same time, there will also be Children's Runs in four age groups at distances from 400 to 1600 meters. The joint running of children and parents and the colorful costumes of both these groups give a special color to the whole event.

Second: LET'S TALK!

The novelty of the May edition is KWADRANS Z … It is a series of speeches referring to the TED formula, during which you will be able to meet well-known and liked figures from the world of sports, medicine, science, ecology, as well as activists for animals and popular bloggers culinary and book authors. Participants will includeorthopedist Dr. Piotr Tarkowski ,dietician and president of the Happy Without Sugar Foundation Małgorzata Sobczykandsociologist Jarosław Urbański ,restaurateur Malka Kafkaand bloggerVegenerat . Admission is free and without registration, a can of the Hostel in Korabiewice will be waiting at the entrance for a symbolic zloty.

Third: WE WORK!

The Vegan Run also has an important charity and pro-ecological aspect:

  • Do you want to support the Animal Shelter?

At the Vegan Run, PLN 5 from each paid starter package for 5/10/21 km goes to the shelter in Korabiewice, which is looked after by the Viva! Foundation. Those willing can also buy on-line a symbolic brick of the Vegan Run supporting the operation of the shelter - 1 minute of operation of the facility is about PLN 2, 1 day - about PLN 3,000. Cooperation with the Shelter on previous editions of the Run resulted in the purchase of year-round doghouses, an educational tent for volunteers, purchase of a monthly supply of hay for Korabiewice horses and support for the treatment project for senior dogs.

  • Do you want to run with your dog?

Here you go!The organizers encourage you to take part in the canine company. At the distance of 5 km, there will be a separate, additional classification of competitors in this category.

  • Do you think about adopting a dog?

It's great! On the starting line there will be - attention - 70! volunteers with dogs from the shelter in Paluchu. Maybe one of these dogs will be your companion? Paluch's representatives will be happy to tell you about the adoption and the work of volunteers in the shelter.

  • Does the garbage on the Vistula bother you?

Get in on the action! On Saturday, May 19, the day before the Vegan Run, there will be a joint cleaning of the Vistula paths in Bielany and Żoliborz as part of the "I am striving for clean Warsaw" campaign. You can also bring electrical waste and used telephones, which will be handled by REMONDIS, a company supporting the campaign. Ecological workshops are planned for children, and for everyone there is a dose of energy in the form of vegan sweets from SUPER Fudge.

Fourth - WE EAT! the vegan dimension of the event

An important point of the event is the Zabiegany Vegan Market with delicious and varied dishes of vegetable cuisine from around the world. At the Market you will be able to eat sweet and savory, buy books and T-shirts. There will be ice cream, baklava, Indian and Lebanese cuisine, as well as home-made dumplings. The market also offers the opportunity to take advantage of the advice of a dietitian and physiotherapist and a free massage.

There will also be stands of foundations working for animals - VIVA, Otwarte Klatki, Empathy and OTOZ Animals.

Running requires online registration: https://www.biegweganski.pl/rejestracja/. People over the age of 70 years are exempt from the entry fee. It is possible to register online only until Friday, May 11, after this date you can register in person at the Competition Office.
