I am 17 years old and have phimosis. I'd like to remove it. Where do I have to apply? What does the procedure look like? How long does rehabilitation take after surgery?
If you are 17 years or older, go to a urologist who, after examination, will suggest a surgical treatment: phimosis surgery or total circumcision. The procedure is uncomplicated, does not require a stay in the hospital, sutures are applied that will dissolve on their own. Rehabilitation, as you say, takes about 10 days until the wound heals. If you are younger then you must be angry with the pediatric surgeon. In both cases, the referral is issued by the family doctor.
