This morning my husband got up to the bathroom in the morning and collapsed to the floor in a faint. His face was pale, cold with beads of sweat. The husband is 60 years old, has a slim body, his blood pressure is normal, he does general examinations every six months, the results are good, he has never been sick with anything. What could be the reason?
Sometimes there are morning collapses during urination in men, caused by a reflex drop in blood pressure associated with standing and the process of urinating itself. An overloaded bladder promotes an increase in pressure, while emptying the bladder - on the contrary - reduces pressure, and this happens through nerve reflexes. In such cases, it is advisable for the man to donate power while seated. Not all men accept such a recommendation, it happens in some cases that they are unable to urinate in a position other than standing - long-standing habits and reflexes are at work here. What in the case of my husband was the specific reason for the fainting can only be said by a doctor after examination in the office. I encourage you to visit your GP.
