My problem is as follows - because recently, despite making various attempts to lose weight, I had the opposite effect (I was entering the 2nd degree of obesity), I decided to follow the Cambridge diet. I eat four meals + some vegetables, which I think is around 700 calories a day. I have been on a diet for over two weeks (I have 5 more days left) and I feel very well. I lost 10 kg. My blood pressure dropped (about 130/70) and unfortunately my pulse 54-60. It is this low pulse that worries me. It rises to around 65 immediately after a meal, but only for a short time. I would like to continue the diet, i.e. until Sunday as now, and for the next 2 weeks with an additional normal meal, about 200 kcal. As I wrote, I feel very well, the only problem is this low heart rate. Should I care about him? I do not drink any alcohol on a diet, which may also cause a slight decrease in my pulse. Overall, I have noticed a tendency to drop my pulse lately. Before the diet, he was in the range of 60-65.

While you are losing weight, you may experience fluctuations in blood pressure and heart rate. It is possible that the heart rate slowed down as a result of the weight reduction. If there are no symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, a feeling of impending fainting, then a pulse of around 60 per minute is probably a phenomenon that does not require additional intervention.

It should also be remembered that the measurements of the pulse with the use of electronic equipment (as one of the parameters determined during the measurement of blood pressure) may not be accurate. This can happen when your hearing aids are running low, so it's a good idea to replace the batteries with new ones and check your heart rate measurements. If the device frequently shows measurements below 56 beats per minute, it is a good idea to have a 24-hour Holter ECG test to clarify any doubts about the heart rate.
