Ultrasound of the lower limbs showed that I have varicose insufficiency in one leg and I need to undergo surgery. Which method of removing varicose veins is the best and why? I must admit that I want to be physically fit as soon as possible after the procedure, because I have three young children.
The least traumatic technique is EVLT - laser intravenous ablation. It does not require mechanical removal of the saphenous vein from the ankle to the groin, an incision in the groin is avoided, recovery is faster and postoperative ailments are reduced. Laser surgeries are performed by some specialist centers, e.g. Medicover Hospital in Warsaw.
