Until now, I was rather cold-hearted, avoiding sexual intercourse with my husband. Maybe the unpleasant experiences of my youth, maybe my husband's alcoholism, influenced it, but for months, and recently even years, I didn't have sex with my husband. But I didn't really need much either. Recently, my husband has significantly reduced the amount of alcohol he drinks, he is often sober, and I have a problem with strong arousal, I constantly think about sex with my husband as if I had to make up for all those lost years. This constant excitement annoys me, the more so because I follow my husband all the time and I touch him all the time, I'm afraid that it is some disease that has triggered this strange urge. I also do not know when or if I went through the menopause, because 8 years ago I underwent the removal of the uterus with the right appendage. I also have problems with urinary incontinence, so I started exercising my Kegel muscles using electrostimulation and vaginal cones for exercise, and it's much better. Maybe it also has some influence on my excitement? Could sudden intense sexual arousal in old age come about like this for no good reason, or is it due to some illness? For 20 years I have been treated for hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and high cholesterol.
There may be several reasons for sudden sexual arousal. On the one hand, it can be influenced by medical factors. If you are taking any hormonal drugs related to the removal of the uterus and one appendage, they may affect your libido levels. Hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and high cholesterol are not associated with an increase in libido. In general, many diseases, including brain tumors, tend to decrease the desire for sex. To be sure, tell your gynecologist about it. There is nothing to be ashamed of. For a doctor, matters related to the sexual life of patients are common and completely normal. On the other hand, the cause of your greater desire for sex may be a change in your attitude towards your husband. If you have regained your trust in him and the intimacy between you, connected with the fact that your husband drinks much less than the old one, was restored, it could have unblocked your sexual sphere. In women, the level of libido is strongly related to their mental and emotional attitude towards their partner and relationship.
