First of all, they do not have to mean anything dangerous, if this is your first time, you may miss your period for some reason (for example, more stress, dieting has a negative effect on your body and often makes your period late). On the other hand, they may be a harbinger of some irregularity or pregnancy. The lack of menstruation may be the first symptom of pregnancy, sometimes such symptoms are also pains in the lower abdomen (especially because you are not using protection).
