My three-year-old son hasn't slept a single whole night since he was born. When we asked our doctor about it, he told us that the little one just needs to grow out of it, but how long can it take and is it normal?
Hello! There are indeed such children. Their sleep can be quite shallow, they wake up quickly and then hardly fall asleep. Or they have had bad dreams, or they have gotten used to the fact that whenever they wake up in the night something has to happen to make them fall asleep again. For example, mom needs to cover with a quilt, or needs to drink water, or dad needs a hug, and so on. It is very tiring for parents, but also for the child. On the other hand, such a 3-year-old is still a baby and needs the presence of adults very much. I would advise you to analyze this situation with a child psychologist because my considerations concern only some of the possibilities. Also, the remedial methods must be adapted to the problem and the sleep and wake pattern. Anyway, please don't worry too much. It can be.
