These meals should consist of fiber-rich foods, therefore vegetables and fruits play a major role in the diet of pancreatic cancer, but without the peel and preferably from organic farming (because they do not contain harmful pesticides). Scientists from the University of Illinois, in the diet of pancreatic cancer, attach a special role to celery. In their opinion, the vegetable owes its unique anti-cancer properties to the high content of flavonoids - apigenin, which makes cancer cells more susceptible to chemotherapy, and luteolin, which has very strong anti-inflammatory properties. . This does not mean, however, that eating celery will cure pancreatic cancer, but it can effectively support the therapy.

What to eat in cancer?

In addition, the patient can eat stale bread, skim milk and lean white meat without fear. It often happens that patients with pancreatic cancer (as well as other cancers) do not tolerate protein-rich foods (including meat) due to unpleasant taste sensations. In this case, the meat can be marinated in lemon juice, olive oil with herbs or in apple sauce to improve itsflavor.

First of all, you should give up fats so as not to burden the pancreas, which one of its basic functions is to digest this nutrient. This is especially true for fats of animal origin, i.e. saturated fatty acids. Therefore, it is recommended to cook ordinary and steaming, baking in foil and stewing without browning beforehand. You should also be careful with dairy products - instead of fatty cream, it is better to use low-fat yoghurt. Sweets are also high in fat, so you should also give them up.

In addition, people struggling with pancreatic cancer should remove radishes, mushrooms, cabbage, beans, peas and spicy spices from their menu.
