I had sex with my boyfriend on January 15, 2015, and on January 25, 2015, I was given a 4-day period, which ended on January 29. Then I did a pregnancy test and it came out negative. The next intercourse took place from 28/01/2015 to 9/02/2015 with a 2-day break. I visited the doctor on 03/03/2015 and I was pregnant according to the last menstruation for 5 weeks and 2 days. I had another visit on 03/16/2015 and the doctor said that according to om, the pregnancy is 7 weeks and 1 day, and according to ultrasound it is 6 weeks and 5 days. Did conception take place in February if I have a due date with om on 01/11/2015 and with ultrasound on 04/11/2015? Does the ultrasound determine the exact age of pregnancy?
The USG exam measures the dimensions of the fetus and on this basis a special computer program installed in the ultrasound machine determines for which week of pregnancy these are the average dimensions. Not all fetuses are the same size at the same gestational age. Just like children and adults. After all, not all those who are 20 years old, 3 months and 5 days old are the same height and weigh the same. In the week of your pregnancy when you had an ultrasound scan, the difference of 3 days does not matter. Based on the gynecological examination and ultrasound examination, it can only be said that you became pregnant after your last menstruation, after January 25th. Nothing else.
