I'm in my third pregnancy. I was on ultrasound and the pregnancy is alive, the heart is beating, but according to the size of the embryo, it is 2 weeks younger. Does this indicate a developmental defect? Could ovulation just have been delayed? Today is 1/16 and I had my last period on 22/11. I would like to add that I have irregular periods. During the last 5 months we have been trying hard to get a baby and during this period there have been cases where the period was even 11 days late or 6 days earlier. The doctor I visited wrote in the description of the examination: live pregnancy, single CRL 2.9 mm, 5 + 6 t.c resp. Yolk sac is visible, ASP is still visible. This last entry worries me a lot.

The result of the ultrasound shows the size of the embryo and evaluates the age of pregnancy on this basis. With irregular menstrual cycles, ovulation may be on the 20th or even 30th day of the cycle. ASP stands for Fetal Heartbeat. But why is it written "still visible" I cannot explain. Please ask the person performing the test about it.
