Hello, I would like to know how long it may take between seeing a change in the structure of the testicle until symptoms of cancer appear? About 7 years ago I noticed a lump on the left testicle with a diameter of about 1-2 mm. It has grown a bit over the years. I have not noticed any other symptoms, nothing hurts me. How many years can a cancer develop in?

Testicular cancer has a dynamic course, significant changes in the structure and size of the testicles are noticeable within a few weeks. This is the case in most cases, but it is also possible that the change in the nucleus is small and the nodal changes are already present. It is difficult only on the basis of the physical examination to clearly interpret the state of the testicle, sometimes it is necessary to perform an ultrasound examination and determination of the levels of tumor markers in the blood serum. Due to the long presence of the testicle lesion and the absence of other symptoms, I believe that the testicle does not contain neoplastic lesions. To confirm my assumptions, I suggest performing an ultrasound of the scrotum and visiting a doctor.
