As he alth minister Adam Niedzielski announced during Wednesday's press conference, if everything goes according to plan, vaccination of children aged 12-17 with the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be possible at the end of next week.
During the conference on the sharp increase in coronavirus infections, Adam Niedzielski announced that on January 24 a meeting of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) will be held, regarding the possibility of allowing a third dose of the vaccine for children from 12 to 17 years of age.
"If this decision is positive, and everything indicates it, the procedure is such that, following the EMA recommendation, the decision is made by the European Commission. This usually happens either on the same day or the next, and we in within the next 2-3 days we are launching this option "- he explained.
As he said, if all goes according to these assumptions, by the end of next week, immunization of children with the third dose "should be available".
