I'm 22 years old. The school period, especially the end of middle school / the beginning of technical school, was quite stressful for me. I started to stutter. At first I didn't pay attention to it (maybe it's better), but more and more often it seems to me that my problem is probably more in my head. If I know that I have to say something, ask something, make a public appearance, the thought immediately arises that I will definitely get stuck, not say a word. If the situation happens spontaneously, I don't think I'll have to say anything, it's better. This is a normal situation …?

You put it right, this is a problem that starts in your head. Of course, you can hear its effects in speech as stress attacks the respiratory and vocal systems. However, it is worth going to a speech therapist who will diagnose the scale of this problem and advise what to do. Perhaps simple exercises are enough, you may need a psychologist's consultation. However, you can handle everything and speak fluently.
