My daughter will be 3 in August. She began to speak very fast and very difficult words. Everyone was surprised that he spoke so beautifully. Me too. I was glad to be able to talk to my own daughter. Unfortunately, since January, Oleńka's speech has kept me awake at night. She began to stutter, stretch. At first she couldn't handle the letter "j", now she can't say "m". Today, when we were having fun, she tried to say what is in the picture (mickey mouse), got angry, put her finger in her mouth and said that she couldn't and started to cry. It is different with speaking: there is a stage where he speaks beautifully, and the following days are a massacre, he stutters for a long time. Ola started to whisper more often, she would come up and say something in her ear. I noticed that Ola is placing a tongue between her teeth saying the letter "s", I was with my daughter at a speech therapist and the doctor said that it was a developmental disorder. I am worried and I do not know whether to go to the speech therapist again or whether I am exaggerating the whole matter. Please reply.

Lisp is not a developmental disorder for sure! These types of symptoms persist and remain a defect. Especially in terms of the pronunciation of the sounds s, z, c, dz. This should be corrected until the habit is strong enough to cause problems. This is because it has a very negative effect, for example on the structure of teeth, which may be bent. Regarding the symptoms of stuttering, I would suggest visiting either a neurologist or a pediatric psychologist. It may be a temporary state of rapid development of speech (the child wants to say much more than he can "produce" his articulation apparatus), but it may be the beginning of stuttering. Therefore, I would suggest a thorough diagnosis in this regard.
