My problem is putting off my duties. I would like to complete my tasks quickly. Postponing has already become a problem for me. I remember a situation from my childhood, helplessness and fear when, after quickly doing an activity, my mother always said that it is impossible to do it that quickly and it is not done properly, and it will be very hard to do it. Then all enthusiasm for the task left me with joy. As time goes on, I know that my mom has had trouble doing the basic things and is also not very thorough, but considers herself an expert in every field. It was a long time ago, but when she told my father recently that the cleanup is very difficult, I remembered what I felt when I was a child. I remember that my work was not respected and that I was wiped out by the burden of tasks to be performed. I am constantly looking for solutions, new methods do not bring results, and with time I postpone more and more important tasks. What to do and how to deal with it?

Most people have trouble putting off their chores. The main problem is motivation - motivating yourself to act. You can see another problem related to the criticism of your person, which demotivated you even more to complete the task entrusted to you. I think that is where your problem lies. Constant criticism, lack of positive reinforcements and praise have led to the fact that you do not believe in your abilities. Maybe it's worth working on? Maybe with a psychologist? Therapist?

When it comes to motivating yourself to act, there are several ways. You should always start with the easier tasks and move on to the hard ones. It is good to buy a calendar or a notebook and write down for a few days ahead what you have to do, e.g. going to the office, shopping home, etc. it was possible to perform, for various reasons, assign it to the next due date as a priority task! I do it and the method works. You should not break down if you do not complete all the tasks at once, sometimes it is impossible for various reasons, e.g. due to the weather or a friend's visit. If you do all the activities, you can congratulate yourself in the form of a small gift for yourself - let it be something you dohe likes, for example, cinema or theater. Good luck!
