I'm 16 years old. I used to be a very social person. I had a lot of friends. Every day I was flying somewhere, doing something fun. About a year ago I had an argument with my friends. I stopped leaving the house completely. I have no friends. At all. I don't have to write to anyone, I have no one to meet for the cinema, etc. At school I have a few friends like this for breaks, but we have absolutely no language in common. I have the feeling that I'm kind of weird because I can't get along with anyone. I recently reconciled with the friends I talked about earlier, but we have absolutely nothing to talk about. I am already a different person, so are they. I have nothing to talk about with them. I lie in bed all day. I haven't even dreamed about boys lately. I used to always imagine how cool it would be to have a boyfriend. Now I have completely lost interest in anyone even though the boys are hitting on me. Is something wrong with me?
Before you go to a psychologist or specialist clinic, I suggest that you do a thyroid test, min. Tsh, ft3 and ft4. Glucose is also advisable. Ask for a GP examination and make an appointment with an endocrinologist. Hormone problems are very often the cause of mood disorders. If the tests are normal, consult a psychologist. Such a lack of motivation, willingness to act and meet people may be due to depressive disorders.
