I had a canal top 1 and after some time I noticed that my tooth was starting to darken. I went to the dentist who just cleaned it inside and put a new filling. It helped a bit, but the tooth is still a lot different from the rest. The dentist offered me to put on a crown, but this is related to half-filing the tooth. So I wonder if this is the only way to disguise the ugly color of my one? What are my options? Would whitening help?
The crown protects the dead tooth against fracture. Bleaching such a tooth does not always bring the expected results. With today's modern prosthetic solutions, placed crowns do not differ from a natural tooth.
Nevertheless, I recommend a second visit to the doctor, because without proper diagnostics it is impossible to give an unambiguous answer.
