Before school, I always wake up with such a pain in my stomach that I doubled over. I can't put anything in my mouth. I feel all the smells very intensely, when I get up I am disgusted with food, my head is spinning. No stomach drops or sedative tablets help, my heart rate is very high. My mother says it is a vegetative neurosis, that when I went to primary school, I had the same symptoms. What are the reasons for this? How to deal with it?
Mario! These are classic neurotic symptoms. They must not be underestimated, not only because they are unpleasant and hinder everyday functioning. Neurosis should be treated like any other disease so that it does not develop and wreak havoc in the body. Medicines are not always needed. Psychological therapy, during which a person learns to understand and become resistant to stress, is often enough. Make sure to visit a psychiatrist, because he deals with neuroses (Children's and Youth Mental He alth Clinic - they are in the districts and at the Medical Academy). The doctor, after talking with you, will decide how to help you. Take care of it quickly, because the first appointment at the Clinics is quite a long time. Ask for an urgent consultation with a doctor. Maybe your parents will help you deal with this? Regards. B.
