Two years ago, I had a crown put on because it was necessary to correct its shape - the dentist filed one lump to the right height, at this point the crown became rough. The dentist said it must be so after filing. As the roughness of the 'new tooth' bothers me all the time, I found the information that crowns should not be corrected by a dentist, and only a prosthetist can take care of it, because appropriate further treatment of the crown is necessary. Is it true? What is the warranty period for all-ceramic crowns on a zirconium base?
Correction of the crown is possible in the dentist's office. The warranty period for such prosthetic work is individual for each office. Before the procedure, the patient is informed about the warranty period. This information should be included in the medical records.
