Australians vaccinated against COVID-19 with mRNA preparations share information on social media about the unusual side effect of vaccination - after taking the vaccine, they are supposed to disappear, among others moles, birthmarks, psoriasis eruptions, or spots related to eczema. The information was provided by the Australian news.com.au website.
The link between COVID-19 vaccination and viral warts has yet to be investigated. However, based on a study published in October 2022 in the scientific journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), it was concluded that the use of preparations against Covid-19 may be associated with the alleviation of skin lesions.
A potential explanation of this phenomenon may be, among others immune system response enhanced after vaccination, which translates into the fight against warts (whose presence is viral). The body can react similarly after receiving the HPV vaccine, i.e. the human papillomavirus.
Despite the reported cases of sudden disappearance of skin lesions, especially viral warts, after vaccination with mRNA preparations, it is necessary to conduct further observations and tests that could clearly confirm this relationship.
