I am a transsexual person of the m / f type. I have been to specialist doctors, a psychologist, a sexologist and a psychiatrist (I have been undergoing treatment with the latter since the end of the 90s). On the MMPI test I was diagnosed with a female personality with minor psychotic elements, the conversation with the psychologist confirmed it, probably due to my weak voice, I do not like to be dominant and prefer to be quiet, which is reflected in my voice expression. After several visits to the sexologist, it was found that it was impossible to determine if it was transsexualism or psychological changes, and nothing could be done until I took on the role of a woman (mainly clothes, makeup, etc.). I am a small man, I do not have a lot of muscles or hair, I have always had it, despite exercising (I mean muscles), but I do not look feminine and due to my age, clothes and makeup will make me more like a transvestite than a woman . Also, I live in a big city, so it's also a bit of a fear to do this (many people think so). I have never had a hormone test done, but from what I found out in articles on the web, by the age of 30, I had many symptoms that were described as a result of a hormonal imbalance. I was always withdrawn, reticent, avoided people, was neglected and it was probably the result of qualifying me as a mentally ill person (slight schizophrenia and withdrawal). I found out about transsexualism by accident while looking for something about hair loss (bends). Thanks to this, for 1.5 years I started taking small doses of phytoestrogens and prostate medications every other month. As a result, I became livelier, more talkative, I started taking care of myself, everything is generally better. I have been taking Cyprodiol for 2 months (due to baldness). Although it says it's a drug only for women, I found out that it is a substitute for Diane-35, which is also used in m / f hormone therapy. First, I started to use it all because of the baldness, then I decided to continue because of the feminization, but the effects are very slow, visible, but still slow. If I looked more feminine then I could continue my treatment with a sexologist. Basic question: what could be the more serious consequences of what I am doing, and whether there is an optionchoosing over-the-counter medications to continue my transformation with better results, or could an endocrinologist or andrologist direct my treatment without a sexologist?
It is very difficult to make an assessment without examining the patient, but from what you wrote, you should be examined and basic hormone tests performed. Perhaps you have a hormonal imbalance that is causing or overlapping with others. Perhaps correcting these disorders with the right medication would help you feel better. So my advice is to consult an endocrinologist specializing in men's problems (andrologist).
