I have a daughter that is almost six (she goes to kindergarten next year). In general, everything is fine, but he cannot pronounce words correctly, such as: mirror (Werka pronounces "rustlo"), or color (pronounces "corol"), etc. I tried and still try to correct it, "play" with syllables, but nevertheless on the first occasion, Werka says "her own way". I would like to know if I should seek specific advice from specialists now, or if I can stay with it and give her some more time.

Very often, when a child learns a new sound, he fills in all "gaps" in words with a new sound. Hence we have "mreko" instead of "milk", "rarka", instead of "doll" etc. It is possible that the rearrangement of sounds in the range of two: r and l results from just such a reason. Saying words with the sounds r and l in one word (mirror, color) is very difficult at the beginning of using these sounds. Only when the r is "stable" - easily pronounced, the problem with rearranging the sounds will disappear. Since my daughter is only 6 years old, I would advise you to give her time to fully shape the articulation. If the situation does not change for the next year and the daughter still confuses the order of sounds, it is worth consulting a speech therapist or psychologist.
