Can noises from behind the wall such as knocking, laughing, screaming, music, barking a dog disturb your child's sleep? I put my child to bed around 8 p.m., but until the neighbors are quiet (i.e. after midnight), my son wakes up all the time, falls over and sighs. Could it be that it bothers him? If so, how does this affect his psyche and development? I will also mention that my son is quite sensitive to various sounds and often reacts with crying to, for example, an ambulance or a loud motorbike.

I can say that noise can have a big impact on your child's restless sleep. Noise can cause, for example, irritability, anxiety, fatigue in a child, but also in an adult. The longer we stay in noise, the more it affects our nervous system. Excessive noise can damage your hearing. In adults, it can lead to various mental illnesses, such as neuroses. Noise can cause us a problem with focus, concentration, learning problems, and communication problems. Sounds such as tapping plates or shifting tools do not affect our hearing, but may cause irritation and a problem with focusing in the child.
