A new mixed vaccination scheme against COVID-19 has been in force since January 3. The scheme has been updated in accordance with the latest guidelines of the Medical Council, based on the positions of the EMA, FDA and ECDC, and the changes concern the schedules for vaccination with Moderna, Pfiizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson preparations.

The announcement on this matter appeared on the website of the Ministry of He alth. It states that the changes are introduced due to the "current recommendations of the Medical Council and the Immunization Team, based on the position of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the position of the US Food Agency. and Medicines (FDA) ".

Recommended schedule of primary vaccination against COVID-19 in adults

As reported by the Ministry of He alth, in the basic scheme for people over 18 years of age, in order to complete the initiated vaccination scheme with Spikevax (Moderna), Comirnaty (Pfizer-BioNTech), or Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca), when it is necessary to change the preparation the patient, for whatever reason, can be given any other available mRNA vaccine or Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca) vaccine with an interval equal to or greater than 28 days between doses.

The Ministry emphasizes that "The recommended basic scheme is still the homologous scheme with the use of one preparation, and in the case of mixed (heterologous) schemes, the following order is recommended: vector vaccine - mRNA vaccine".

As we read on the MZ website. the reverse mixed scheme can be implemented in the case of individual indications for such a procedure.
