They found out about it, among others Gwyneth P altrow and Victoria Beckham.
Dr Davis' wheat-free diet - what is a gluten-free slimming diet?
In order to lose unnecessary kilograms without effort, remove all gluten-containing products from the menu, including wheat products - including those considered he althy, made of whole grain, e.g. wholemeal bread. As the creator of the diet argues, whole grain wheat products are not as he althy as it is commonly believed.
People who eat only whole grains provide around 400 additional calories a day and, consequently, weigh more than they should.
According to Dr. Davis, whole grain cereals raise blood sugar more quickly than sugar alone. The consequence is a rapid increase in insulin secretion, and hence a simple path to the accumulation of unnecessary fat.
As the creator of the diet argues, whole grains raise blood sugar so quickly because they contain type A amelopectin - a form of complex carbohydrate that consists of wheat starch. A characteristic feature of type A amelopectin is that it breaks down very quickly into glucose molecules in the digestive tract, which also quickly raise blood sugar levels.
Also, according to Dr. Davis, whole grains have a strong effect on the brain because they cause euphoria - the same as opiates.
Accordingly, a fundamental principle of Dr. Davis's diet is to eliminate all forms of wheat from the diet, including he althy whole grains and other gluten-containing foods. In addition, you should limit your consumptionalso other carbohydrates: corn starch, rice, potatoes, sweets, legumes, fruit juices, carbonated drinks and dried fruit. Interestingly, even though the wheat-free diet is gluten-free, Dr. Davis advises you to limit your carbohydrate intake in the form of gluten-free products.
Dr. Davis' Wheat-Free Diet - What Can You Eat?
During a gluten-free slimming diet, vegetables dominate - preferably organic, without pesticides. They can be eaten at any time of the day. Moderation should be observed with potatoes and corn. You should also eat fruit in limited amounts (preferably the berry ones).
Dairy products also play a significant role in the menu, including full-fat cheeses (e.g. blue cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan). The list of permitted products also includes milk substitutes, such as unsweetened almond milk or unsweetened coconut milk.
While on a diet without Dr. Davis' wheat, you can also eat fish and seafood, as well as meat and poultry. Ideally, the meat should come from grass-fed, or organic, cattle that are killed under humane conditions. The meat consumed should be unhardened and unprocessed, and should not contain sodium nitrate. This also applies to sausages and cold cuts. Meat can be eaten in any form, except fried.
The menu should not lack a place for eggs and he althy fats in the form of raw nuts, as well as oils that Dr. Davis recommends consuming in large amounts (e.g. avocado oil, coconut oil, olive oil).
Water should always be your first choice of drinks. You can consume fruit juices in limited amounts, but only those so-called 100%. Occasionally you can afford coffee and tea as well as red wine.
The list of indicated products also includes herbs, spices and food additives (e.g. mustard), but with no added sugar.
