I am 25 years old and have pronunciation problems, which is why I rarely give the floor in public. The point is that during a conversation I have a problem saying a word correctly, which makes me nervous and lost in my own thoughts. After a moment's thought, I would be able to pronounce it correctly, although there are times when I have to read the word in order to pronounce it correctly. It also happens that, for example, I say the word "color", and after 5 seconds "corol". I also have a big problem with building longer sentences correctly, because I pronounce a word incorrectly or the word is in the wrong grammatical form, or I forget a simple word, so I can't finish the sentence. I would like to add that when I have to speak for a long time, i.e. longer than one minute, I start to get very stressed. I've been reading a lot of books for a year now, and I've been writing a diary for 2 weeks, but so far the effects are not visible. Can you help it somehow? I am also thinking of going to a neurologist or psychiatrist because it is not normal that I forget basic words.
It's definitely worth doing a CT scan of the head to check if everything is okay. When it comes to exercise, reading and writing help, of course, but more in passive language skills. Practice talking to yourself in the mirror. Prepare short presentations and deliver them.
