My daughter is 3 years old and she still doesn't speak. Ie. he says a lot, but in his own way or very indistinctly. She has already had visits to a speech therapist, but so far these were games based on games and aimed at increasing her vocabulary. She also had an appointment with a psychologist and everything is fine. I have noticed that my daughter is sticking her lower jaw in front of her upper jaw as she utters words, and I'm afraid this may be one of the reasons for her slurred speech. I would like to add that he is a terrible fussy eater and has a habit of keeping food in his mouth. I also noticed that when she is spoon-fed, it is in the process of putting it in her mouth that she protrudes the lower jaw more. I would be grateful for advice on how to exercise with her (i.e. I would like you to tell me what exercises to do to get rid of this habit). Regards.
If your daughter is under the care of a speech therapist, first of all, follow his recommendations. Activities with children up to 6 years old are always fun, so probably everything is fine.
As for the habit of moving the lower jaw, all the exercises related to it are very useful here: chewing gum, opening and closing the teeth, moving the lower jaw sideways, playing a cow. We do everything with the lips joined, i.e. the mouth closed. We do exercises in front of the mirror to control the correctness of performance and symmetry.
