Please answer the question, when do I have the right to call an ambulance?
We only call an ambulance in situations of an immediate threat to life or emergencies that may lead to significant damage to he alth (ours or another person's). We can talk about a sudden state of emergency when it comes to: - loss of consciousness, - disturbance of consciousness, - convulsions, - sudden, acute pain in the chest, - heart rhythm disturbances, - severe shortness of breath, - sudden acute abdominal pain, - persistent vomiting, - rapidly progressing labor, - acute and severe allergic reactions (rash, shortness of breath) resulting from taking a drug, bite or stings by poisonous animals, - poisoning with drugs, chemicals or gases, - extensive burns, - heat stroke, - body cold, - electric shock, - drowning or drowning, - aggression caused by mental illness, - attempted suicide, - fall from a great height, - extensive wound resulting from trauma, - trauma to the lower limbs, making it impossible to move independently.
An ambulance should be called for road accidents, pedestrian runs, and drowning. In other cases, the dispatcher may refuse the arrival of the ambulance and send the caller back to the clinic. Depending on the availability and the reported problem, the patient can expect an ambulance with either a basic team (with rescuers or nurses) or a specialist team (a doctor travels in addition to it). The medical staff will provide you with assistance on the spot and, if necessary, will transport you to the hospital.
