The Tibetan diet is a slimming diet that is called "penance" for a reason. It can be said that the Tibetan diet is a punishment for improper diet and many years of poisoning the body. In order to redeem the guilt, i.e. to cleanse the body of toxins, lose weight and restore balance to the body, you need to go through an 8-day cleansing fast, which requires a very strong will. What is the Tibetan diet and how much weight can you lose on it?
The Tibetan Dietis an 8-daycleansing fasting- an alternative treatment that has been known for centuries. It was used not only by ancient Tibetan medics, but also by Chinese and Indian. Thanks to it, you can not only get rid of unnecessary kilograms, but also cleanse the body of toxins, and thus - alleviate the symptoms associated with the poisoned body, such as fatigue, malaise and headaches.
Tibetan diet - rules
Due to the fact that the Tibetan diet is practically a hunger strike, the body should be properly prepared for it. You can't go on such a draconian diet overnight. Therefore, at least a week before starting the treatment, you should exclude meat, fats and hard-to-digest foods from the menu and replace them with vegetables and fruit.
The next stage of the diet is cleansing the body of toxins and deposits. There are several ways to do this: by taking an enema or by taking herbal laxatives. You can also use castor oil. Once the body is cleansed, you can move on to the proper stage of the Tibetan diet.
The rules of this strict diet are very simple: drink only "Tibetan broth" (in any amounts) during the 8 days of the diet. During the treatment, apart from the stock, you should also drink large amounts of still mineral water.

To prepare 3.5 liters of slimming and cleansing "Tibetan broth" you need 3 onions, 2 leeks (with leaves), a black turnip tuber, 3 parsley roots, celery tuber, a kilogram of potatoes and herbs, e.g. thyme, marjoram or cumin.
Preparation of the stock should begin with a thorough scrubbing of the potatoes, which (without peeling) should be boiled in a liter of water until tender. The remaining vegetables should also be thoroughly washed and unpeeled (except the onion, which should be peeled), put into 2.5 liters of uns alted water.According to the recipe, vegetables should be cooked for an hour. Then combine both stocks (without vegetables), add the herbs to taste and mix.
"Tibetan broth" should be cooked every day.
After completing the treatment, gradually return to the traditional way of eating. Otherwise, the yo-yo effect is guaranteed.
The Tibetan diet can be used in spring or early autumn, but never in winter, as then the weakened immune system will be very susceptible to infections.
Tibetan diet - how much weight can you lose?
During the 8-day slimming treatment, you can lose up to 5 kg. Unfortunately, the weight loss is largely the result of water loss from the body. It should be remembered that the body does not tolerate fasting fasts and at the very beginning of their duration it begins to store fat for a rainy day.
