I'm very ambitious, but when it comes to confronting people with higher social status, I get shy and blush. In college, despite the fact that I do well when it comes to giving my opinion during a discussion, there is a blockage that I will say something stupid. And the worst thing is when people tell me that I'm blushing. Then it looks even worse, and I feel terrible about it. I think that I have lost my self-esteem because of my work, I feel inferior to others in some moments. How to fight it?
Erythrophobia - this is what it is called, but such a problem may have different severity and background (but it is always psychological). As a rule, this is not as big a problem as the blushing imagines. These perceptions are the problem. For you, they clash with ambitions and a sense of degradation, although you know that no job is a disgrace! If someone does simple work and at the same time makes an effort to study - then only congratulations. In my life, I have met a few people who, to the surprise of the smart surroundings, started a career, also a scientist, starting as a blue collar worker. The problem is not with your work, but with seeing it as degrading. Maybe you had it instilled by the environment. And reacting red in different situations is better to treat as the current norm, beauty, and not a disorder. Don't fight it! Even expect it to appear soon, announce: oh, I'll be red in a moment, because that's how it is for me! Treat it not with fear but with humor. Regards!
