On your side, on your back, in a fetal position or like a starfish - how you sleep is more important than you think. Find out what information about your personality can be deduced from your position in bed!

The movements we make when we are awake - the pace of walking, the way of gesturing, the facial expressions, the work of the hands - may indicate what type of personality we are. An energetic or calm person, phlegmatic or choleric, extrovert or introvert. This is called body language or English - body language.

Have you ever wondered what the position in which you sleep says about you? It turns out that he talks quite a lot - after all, most people (well, apart from young parents) sleep at least 6 hours a night - and during this time we do not lose our personality at all.

Embryonic position

The embryonic position on the side is called cradle. A man sleeps with his knees tucked towards his chest, which imitates the positioning of a baby in a pregnant woman's belly.

What does it say about someone who's just asleep? Often this position is taken by people who have thoughts about the past day just before going to bed. They would like to distance themselves from the surrounding troubles and the rush of thoughts. They tend to keep their thoughts to themselves.

The time before going to rest is an ideal time for them to draw conclusions from their actions.

Starfish

When observing a man who takes such a position to sleep, you can try to imagine him in many different scenes, for example replacing the quilt that wraps him with a parachute harness. After all, his body imitates flight.

First of all, people who fall asleep in such a position are usually those for whom the stage from going to bed to falling asleep takes about a minute. They have neither the time nor the desire to think at night.

Life events, situations that people encountered on their way on a specific day - all this required so much energy from them that they treat the sphere of their own bed as something exclusively for themselves.

The variety of spending time satisfies them, and the constant duplication of the same tasks and responsibilities overwhelms them. They are usually not people who quickly become attached to places or people.

On the side

Anyone can assume this position during the night, because it is one of the most classic and easy to fall asleep. However, there are people who cannot imagine falling asleep otherwise than in this position. They may try to twist to lying on their back or prone, but will eventually only fall asleep on their chosen side. They have been doing this most often for many years, as long as they can remember, and when asked about it, they only realize it.

As in life, they also do not assume any strange, unusual or surprising positions during sleep. They fall asleep best in the classic lying on their side, which they have known for years. They especially prefer sleeping in their own bed.

Supine

You can also sleep to the maximum by straightening your spine. It is then that the legs are instinctively joined and the arms fall along the torso. It can be jokingly stated that people who sleep in this position stand at attention even in their sleep or are completely ready for a soldier's drill.

These people are usually very tense. Tensions in their body occur for a variety of reasons. These can be both muscle tension after intense and long-term training in professional athletes, but also strictly related to the nervous system. The bed, and most of all the bedroom, should be a place where we at least try to cut off from the things that are handled during the day. Allowing yourself to do this gives you a chance for better regeneration.

There is a very simple cause-and-effect relationship here. If at night we try to relax as much as possible and fall asleep calmly, after waking up we will have much more strength to act.

People who notice such symptoms are recommended relaxing massages. Properly pressed points on the body and the touch of another person can bring significant relief.
