I would like to start using contraceptive injections, but my doctor gave me a chaotic answer to questions about the side effects of injections. I am 35 years old, I have bronchial asthma (drugs Zafiron, Alvesco), I suffer from hemorrhoids from time to time and I have arrhythmia. Can I use contraceptive injections? If so, please provide information on possible defects such as weight and hair growth, are there any reservations regarding the use of injections in my diseases.

Bronchial asthma, hemorrhoids and arrhythmia are not a contraindication to the use of hormonal injections for contraceptive purposes.

However, I don't know if you have any other contraindications. The most common complication of this type of contraceptive is irregular, sometimes long-lasting spotting or bleeding.

It should be noted that the effect of the injection lasts for 3 months and at least for this period you have to come to terms with the poor tolerance of the injection, of course, if it occurs.

The injected hormone does not have an androgenic effect and should not have any effect on the hair.

You have to be careful with food. While the hormone itself does not make you gain weight, it can increase your appetite. So you can get fat from eating.
