In my first pregnancy, around 32 weeks of pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational cholestasis. I was referred to the hospital and after about a month, with the administration of appropriate drugs, the disease improved and the disease completely receded (liver tests returned to normal and remained normal until the end of pregnancy). I gave birth to my daughter 9 days after the due date. My daughter is now 10 months old and it turned out that I am pregnant again (at the moment it is 3 months old). I wonder what the probability is that cholestasis may recur in the second pregnancy and whether the fact that I had the first pregnancy through to the end and the disease regressed in the 9th month of pregnancy gives me a chance for a happy delivery and a second pregnancy. Thanks for the answer and best regards.

I have doubts as to whether you have actually hadcholestasisbecauseit is a condition whose symptoms do not go away before delivery.Intrahepatic cholestasis in pregnant women is genetically determined disease. It is prone to relapse, and in the next pregnancy it usually appears earlier and is more severe.
