The finger exercises have been developed mainly for people working at the computer, playing the piano or guitar, as well as for children overloaded with writing at school. Pain ailments, stiff fingers, overstrained hand muscles - all this can be remedied by a few minutes of exercise. How to train your fingers? How do I deal with their pain?
Finger exercisesare recommended mainly for people who play instruments to improve the span of their fingers and hand dexterity, for children who have problems with learning to write and for the elderly suffering from rheumatic pains. Hand gymnastics is also increasingly needed by people working at the computer. Hitting the keyboard for hours can stiffen your hands and cause pain. Fortunately, stretching and strengthening the hand muscles is extremely simple, and the results can be achieved with a few basic exercises.
Exercise your fingers without using any tools
When training your fingers, remember that each exercise should be repeated several times. Importantly, hand training should always be done before starting any activity that makes them tired, e.g. before we start working at the computer or a piano concert, and when ailments appear, e.g. stiff fingers.
Exercise 1.Place your hand flat on the table, spread your fingers as far as possible and bring them together.
Exercise 2.Place your hand flat on the table, then lift each finger one by one, placing it on the table.
Exercise 3.Keeping your hand in the air at an even pace, touch the thumb of the hand in turn with each finger.
Exercise 4.Rest the fingers of one hand on the fingers of the other and press until the muscles are stretched.
Exercise 5.Clench your hands into fists for 15-20 seconds, then relax them for 5 seconds.
Exercise 6.Hold a piece of paper in an outstretched hand and use the fingers of only one hand to roll the piece of paper into a ball.
Exercise 7.We rest our hand on the book and try to turn its pages one by one with each finger.
ImportantRemember - let your hands rest after each series of exercises. Put them relaxed on the desk for a fewminutes. If you use your hand muscles particularly hard, try to relax them in the evenings using compresses and warm baths.
Exercise fingers with devices
There are many devices for hand gymnastics available for sale. Some of them are equipped with special buttons that should be pressed with each finger in turn, breaking the resistance of the device. People who have problems with straightening and bending their hands should invest in a special rubber worn on the hands, which should be stretched.
If we want the hand exercises to be effective, try to exercise for 5 minutes at least three times a day.
A rehabilitation ball made of a special rubber, sponge or gel is an interesting device for exercising the hands, and more precisely the muscle strength and agility of the fingers. The task of the exercising person is to squeeze (pump) it regularly with the greatest possible force. It is recommended especially to people working on a computer, because one of its advantages is also the improvement of circulation in the hand. Another device aimed at "computer scientists" is the so-called hand grip. It consists of two handles connected by a spring, which should be squeezed with one hand until they touch.
The Powerball is also good for finger exercises - a gyroscopic ball which, when put in motion, exerts a pressure of several to several kilograms on the muscles. With it, you can strengthen your hands, starting from the fingers, through the wrists, forearms, to the biceps.
