  • minerals: potassium, magnesium, silicon, iron - support the work of the nervous, digestive and immune systems;
  • tannins - have anti-inflammatory, anti-itching and skin anesthetic properties. They also have bactericidal properties, thanks to which they fight inflammatory infections of the mucous membranes (e.g. throat);
  • flavonoids (flavonoids) - have antioxidant properties, therefore delay the aging process and reduce the risk of cancer and cardiovascular diseases;
  • triterpenes - lower blood cholesterol (reduce blood vessel spasms), they are also an analgesic, antiviral and antifungal agent. Triterpenes also have a detoxifying effect;
  • inulin - is a fiber that is not digested by human enzymes, which lowers blood sugar levels, protects the intestines against infections, and strengthens the immune system;
  • silicic acid - improves the appearance of the skin: soothes all irritations, blemishes and wounds;

It is recommended to use 2-3 teaspoons of dandelion honey daily. You can, for example, sweeten tea with syrup and spread on a slice of bread.

Dandelion syrup - contraindications

Dandelion syrup cannot be used by people struggling with ulcers and gastric hyperacidity. People suffering from intestinal or biliary obstruction should also consult a doctor.

Due to the high sugar content, diabetics also cannot use it. For them, only the infusion of dandelion flowers is intended.
