The list of its beneficial properties is long: first of all, it strengthens the immune system, making the body less susceptible to all kinds of infections, mainly the respiratory tract (colds, flu, sinusitis), and if it becomes infected, it shortens duration of the disease, as it accelerates the fight against germs.

Tragacanth also has a positive effect on the work of the kidneys and liver, because it has protective and cleansing properties.

It also regulates the level of glucose, thus preventing diabetes, and the level of cholesterol and triglycerides, thanks to which it has a positive effect on the heart. It also lowers blood pressure.

Tragacanth is also a powerful antioxidant that removes excess free radicals from the body and thus slows down the aging process.

There is no doubt that astragalus strengthens the immune system, so it was also used after cancer treatment to help the body regenerate. There is no clear evidence or research to suggest that astragalus supports anti-cancer treatment, but its supporters emphasize that systematically used herb increases the production of T lymphocytes, which stimulate and produce antibodies, destroy cancer cells and regulate inflammatory responses in the body.
