I had a small tumor (melanoma), it was removed, examinations good, lymph nodes clean, around the excision scar the same. I am 21 years old, I lead a he althy lifestyle - diet, gym. I'm taking testosterone. Could this conflict with this cancer that I believe I don't have anymore?
There are no medical contraindications for testosterone treatment in men who have had melanoma, if they have medical indications for such therapy.
Testosterone treatment - side effects
Among the contraindications, the following should be highlighted:
- hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the preparation
- male breast cancer
- prostate cancer or suspicion
- benign prostatic hyperplasia
- nephrotic syndrome
- liver cancer now or in the past
It cannot be used in boys before the age of 15 years. Be especially careful in the following cases:
- hypercalcemia
- hyperkalciurii
- heart failure
- liver and kidney
- hypertension
- ischemic heart disease
- epilepsy
- migraines
Caution in obese patients with chronic respiratory diseases - increased risk of sleep apnea.
