I had risky sex in September and contracted syphilis in September. I had a rash in December and I know it is syphilis. I am currently almost 2 months after a two-week weekly treatment with penicillin injection. The doctor said that it is very good that the number of "something" (I don't know what) drops very quickly. In December, that is, at a time when I had no treatment yet and I had a rash, could I infect a diabetic with a blood glucose meter? I took a new leaf, but I got a needle, which is included in the meter kit. After the sting and my dissatisfaction, the person wiped the needle with a handkerchief, but I'm afraid I might have infected it. I am asking because I was glad that I practically cured myself, and a loved one has a fever and slight diarrhea today, with no other symptoms.
Syphilis is not only infected sexually, but also through contact with blood.
