Manicureis something more for a woman than classic nail painting. Manicure is the art of nail care and styling that is easy to learn by frequently practicing. You can put your favorite varnish on a perfectly prepared nail plate or decorate your nails with fashionable applications.

To do a manicure at home you will need:

  • nail polish remover,
  • paper nail file,
  • glass or ceramic file,
  • nail polishers,
  • cuticle softener (optional),
  • wooden cuticle stick,
  • sharp cuticle nippers,
  • nail / cuticle oils,
  • base coat for nail polish,
  • nail polish in the selected color,
  • top coat to cover the varnish,
  • "droplets" for faster drying of the varnish (optional),
  • of your favorite hand cream.

How to make a manicure at home?

Step one - removing old paint

Manicurestart by thoroughly washing off the old nail polish. For this purpose, use an acetone-free remover that is gentler on the nail plate. If the varnish does not come off, you can gently polish the plate with a special `` cube '' with an abrasive surface.

Step two - filing nails

Shorten the nail plate by sawing it with a paper file. Also saw the sides of the nail to optically extend the plate. Then close the nail plate with a glass or ceramic file - saw it gently to get rid of torn parts of the plate and smooth it. Finally, use a special polisher.

Step three - cuticle cutting

Prepare the skins for cutting. To do this, rub your nails with cuticle softener or soak your hands in lukewarm water with the addition of olive oil for a few minutes. Then, gently remove the cuticles with a wooden stick and remove the excess by cutting with sharp nippers. Do not cut too deeply, as this may damage the skin and nail matrix. After cutting the cuticles, brush your nails with olive oil - just remember to wash your hands before painting.

With a wider nail plate, you do not need to paint the entire surface - do not paint next to the sides of the nail. This treatment will make the nail slender and lengthen.

Step four - nail painting

Before you startpainting your nails , be sure to thoroughly degrease the nail plate. To do this, wash your nails with a cotton pad soaked in a little nail polish remover or a special degreaser. Then apply the nail polish base on the nails. Finally, apply the nail polish in the color of your choice. Put a second coat of varnish to even out the color. Additionally, apply a topcoat on the painted nails, which will harden the varnish and add shine to the nails.
