The testicle belongs to the group of special neoplasms of the ovary. It has masculinizing features, because it produces androgens, which leads to the cessation of menstruation and the appearance of male features (e.g. abnormal hair, lowering the voice).

Testicular (androblastoma)- it is a hormonally active tumorovarian tumorwhosesymptomsare usually not very characteristic or not present at all. Clear symptoms appear when the tumor size exceeds 7 cm. Patients most often complain about:

  • pains in the abdomen
  • belly fullness
  • oppression
  • abdominal gas
  • periodic pelvic pains

Pressure on adjacent organs can disrupt the passing of stools and urine. When the tumor reaches a diameter of 10-15 cm, it is already felt through the abdominal wall and increases the circumference of the abdomen. The large size of the tumor may also cause shortness of breath, varicose veins and edema of the lower limbs.

Another symptom of ovarian tumors is abnormal vaginal bleeding. In the case of nucleoloma, additional symptoms may include:

  • deepening the voice
  • excess body hair
  • clitoral hypertrophy

Hard nodules indicate the malignant nature of the tumor

Ovarian tumors are diagnosed with a combined examination, sensing next to the uterus, resistances that can be limited from the top and sides, and an ultrasound examination. Infiltrating tumor growth, the presence of hard, uneven nodules in the recto-uterine cavity indicate the malignant nature of the tumor.

Ovarian tumor treatment

Whenever an ovarian tumor is found, except for small stagnant cysts, laparoscopy or laparotomy should be performed. The removed tumor should be examined histopathologically.

Important

Other neoplasms of the ovarian cancer group are:

  • Hematoma - a tumor with feminizing features, may cause premature puberty in girls or cause uterine bleeding in menopausal women
  • Otoczkowiak - a tumor that often has a defeminating effect
  • Breastfeeding - composed of immature reproductive cells, it occurs mostly in young women, often in hermids.

These tumors belongclassified as malignant as they become malignant in a large percentage. The most malignant is the germ, the least - the pebble.
