I have been following the 500 kcal diet for over a week. I have often eaten less than these 500 calories. If I start eating normally again, i.e. 1000-1500 kcal a day, will there be a yo-yo effect? If so, how can I avoid it?

Your weight will increase for sure, but it will rather be because you eat more food and drink more fluids. Such restrictive diets are opposite to what you expect. This drastic reduction in calories is very unhe althy for our body, it switches to economy mode and burns our muscles instead of fat. When muscles are burned, our metabolism also slows down, so even if you were to observe weight loss on the scale, it would not be he althy. You should calculate your total metabolism and subtract, for example, 500 kcal from this value. The correct weight loss rate is 1-1.5 kg per week. You should focus on the regularity of your meals, make them varied, so that you have a large amount of vegetables in your diet (included with each meal).
