Recently I found out that I have emphysema. Is it possible to drive a car with this disease? I have a problem with concentration of attention, constant fatigue, fainting also happened, fortunately at home. I recently bought a car without knowing about the disease. I travel with a friend to gain practice. Supposedly, there are guarana-based tablets for drivers. Would these pills help with emphysema and make it possible to safely drive a car? Or should you reckon with the complete resignation from driving. I am asking for advice.
First of all, it is important to clarify what kind of emphysema you find has a functional effect on your body and how advanced it is. I do not know if it was just found in your chest X-ray, or if you had a full diagnosis of emphysema. One of the symptoms of emphysema is shortness of breath, which you do not give. Guarana is designed to stimulate you while driving, but it does not heal and has no effect on emphysema. I would really suggest consulting a pulmonologist, if more detailed examinations will be carried out, then the doctor will tell you if the disease is really symptomatic and what you should avoid. Concentration problems and fatigue may not be related to emphysema.
