I have been treating acne since January this year. At the beginning I took the oral antibiotic Tetralysal, and now I have been taking Dotur 100 mg, 1 tablet a day, for 1.5 months. I also started a second pack of Diane 35 tablets and I admit that the effects are very good. My question is about sunbathing. I know that when taking Dotur you must not expose your skin to the sun's rays, but on June 4 I am going to Egypt for a week and therefore it will be rather difficult. I wanted to ask, can I stop taking the antibiotic during this time and start taking it again when I come back? Please reply.
Doxycycline sensitizes the skin to sunlight. Diane 35 shows similar properties in some people. Therefore, during the trip, you should use strong creams with a UV filter, preferably over 40. They should be lubricated every 2-3 hours.
You can set aside doxycycline for the time of your trip. A week break should not be harmful to the skin.
