I have a problem after using hair dye, i.e. itchy scalp when holding the dye on my hair, a suffocating smell, and a lot of hair loss after rinsing. I am probably allergic to some of the ingredients. But what to do to be able to safely color your hair? Coloring shampoos also contain potentially allergenic substances, and I don't want to experiment and put myself at risk. Does an allergic reaction occur when the paint comes into contact with the scalp? If, if possible, the dye is applied only to the length of the hair, and avoiding the skin (if possible), there is a chance for a safe coloring? I have already tried herbal paints supposed to be safe, but the reaction was the same as when I used chemical paints.

In the first place, it is worth performing patch tests to identify allergens. Unfortunately, dyeing the tips does not give much, because the allergen on the bristles lasts a long time and comes into contact with the skin during washing and, for example, during sleep.
