I am 45 years old and have recently experienced stress urinary incontinence. It manifests itself, for example, when sneezing, I bend down and … suddenly I feel that the valves have released. What could be the cause of such ailments? Where to report this problem? What should the treatment look like?

The symptoms given by the lady correspond to stress urinary incontinence. They arise as a result of changes in the tissues - weakening of the urethra and the bladder. Additionally, changes in the bladder may be accompanied, resulting in greater bladder sensitivity. In order to accurately determine the problem, a urodynamic test should be performed. It allows for the precise determination of the functions of the bladder and sphincter, which makes it possible to propose appropriate surgical or pharmacological treatment.
