How to treat skin atrophy? Is it curable at all and what exactly does it mean?
Skin atrophy is skin lesions that occur in many different, congenital and acquired skin diseases. The affected skin becomes thin, it is characterized by reduced elasticity, reduced number or disappearance of the so-called skin appendages (hair and glands). It can result from congenital and acquired diseases, or it can be a symptom of medications and various therapies. The therapeutic procedure depends on the cause of the changes. In each case, moisturizing and regenerating preparations of the epidermis are very beneficial.
