Hello! My name is Katarzyna and I am 30 years old. I wanted to ask if a year ago you participated in psychotherapy (2 years) due to neurosis and these ailments returned, are they also a bit different, is it possible to undergo this therapy a second time? And if so, will the same psychotherapist agree to repeat therapies for the same patient from a few years ago, or does he rather not accept the same person for the second time? I am asking because I would sincerely prefer the same therapist, as he has already gained my trust.

Of course you can go to the same therapist. It doesn't matter that you've already been to him for therapy. I think it's even better that you will be with someone you trust and feel safe with. The therapist has no reason to refuse to let you go again. The only exception is when the therapist falls in love with his patient or vice versa, or when they both dislike each other - then the therapist may refuse to continue the therapy.

Remember that our expert's answer is informative and will not replace a visit to the doctor.
