I have a person with dementia who refuses to take medications. I tried chocolate and ice cream, but it does not always work or you have to wait a long time for you to eat them. Is there any way to do this?

Certain dementia medications cannot be crushed or chewed. Medicines should be washed down with water and swallowed whole (most dementia medications do). It should also be remembered that this type of medication cannot be combined with alcohol.

However, I suggest consulting a psychiatrist, because as far as I know, there are drugs for dementia that are administered in drops and a specialist doctor can prescribe them to the patient. Regards.
